About Us

Founded in 2013, Insurance Advisors Office started from a simple observation: most people interact with insurance only when forced to by deadlines or life events. Open enrollment arrives, Medicare eligibility approaches, a business needs to offer benefits, or a family welcomes a new child. These moments create pressure to make decisions quickly without fully understanding the options or long-term implications.

We built our practice differently. Our focus is on helping clients understand their coverage before urgency removes thoughtful consideration from the process. Over time, this approach expanded beyond individual health and life insurance to include Medicare planning, long-term care strategies, disability protection, and business benefits. The expansion happened naturally as clients' needs evolved and as we recognized how often insurance questions cross multiple coverage areas.

How We Work

Most insurance conversations start with carriers and premiums. We start somewhere else: what actually matters to you. If you're approaching Medicare, we want to know about your current doctors, prescriptions, and health concerns before pulling up plan grids. If you're a business owner looking at group benefits, we need to understand what your competitors offer, what your budget realistically allows, and what benefits actually help you retain good employees. The coverage options come later, once we understand what problem we're trying to solve.

Insurance terminology works against good decisions. "Coinsurance" sounds like "copay" but means something completely different. "Elimination period" in a disability policy determines when benefits start, which directly affects whether the coverage actually helps during a crisis. We spend time explaining these mechanics because understanding how policies actually work changes which ones make sense for your situation. This isn't optional background information. It's the difference between buying coverage that helps and coverage that disappoints when you need it most.

We stay in touch throughout the year because your situation changes, and so do your options. When better plans launch mid-year, when your health status shifts, when your business grows, when Medicare decisions approach, you hear from us. This ongoing relationship means you're not researching insurance from scratch every time a question comes up or a deadline looms.

Our Focus

Our clients include retirees managing Medicare decisions and evaluating long-term care options, business owners establishing or updating employee benefits, and families determining appropriate life and disability protection. Some come to us with specific immediate needs. Others want ongoing guidance as their coverage requirements change over time.

What connects these different situations is the value of having someone who understands both insurance mechanics and your broader financial picture. Many of our clients also work with Wealth Advisors for retirement planning or the Tax Advisors Office for tax services. This allows insurance recommendations to account for investment strategies, tax implications, and legacy goals rather than existing in isolation.
