Small Business Owner & ACA Success

Case #1:

We were able to assist a couple in their sixties who are self employed with their health insurance plan change. They originally scheduled an appointment to discuss their current policy rate increase.  While we were reviewing their options, they admitted that they had a negative attitude about the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare).  We explained how Obamacare works and showed them how they are qualified for a tax credit of $1,200 per month. The cost of the new policy they chose was originally over $1,500. As a result of the tax credit, however, the couple only pays about $300 of premium per month.

Shortly after, the husband ended up needing a double knee replacement. He paid the $1,600 family deductible and the insurance company took care of the rest. When we called to check on his recovery, he was really happy. He said that he could not thank us enough because their new Obamacare Blue Cross Blue Shield policy had saved them so much money.  This also encouraged his wife to finally get recommended testing at no cost because the deductible had been met and the plan now paid benefits at 100%.
